Various Forms of Land Transportation for Tourists in the Philippines

In my seven (7) years of traveling around the Philippines, I cannot help but notice the different and unique modes of transportation.  This is the reason why I made this blog. And again, I am sharing it to you =))



Oriental Mindoro
  (They use over-size jeepneys here beacuse of the cargoes and the rugged terrain in Mindoro.)












Region VIII (Southern Leyte, Samar, Northern Samar, Biliran etc.)


Van transer is the main mode of transportation (e.g. Van-Van's, Grand Tours, Adeross)

















Ormoc City
A ford-fiera type of vehicle.









Balangiga, Samar


They use pedicabs in the streets of the cities in Region VIII.








Naval, Biliran












Corregidor, Bataan

You will enjoy this one! =)

Tour in Corregidor is made using this vehicle.






Manila

There so many modes of transportation in Manila such as "padyak", taxi, fx, lrt, and jeepney.  This one is the PNR.









Taal Crater, Batangas

Horse-back riding is familiar in Tagaytay and Isabela.









Batanes
There are so many things you will love about Batanes. Aside from the zero rate in crimes, transportation using bicyles is popular in  Batanes. Clean air in Batanes!






Vigan, Ilocos Sur

Kalesa ride is offered not only in Vigan but also in Luneta, Manila and in Intramuros, Manila.












Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas

Jeepneys are everywhere in Batangas.










Mt. Makiling, Laguna

Aside form trekking and climbing, mountain biking  is very popular in Mt. Makiling 




Paoay sand dunes, Ilocos Norte


Lanao Del Norte, Mindanao

Bus is the main mode of transportation in Mindanao.








Silay City, Negros Oriental

This use to to be the old way of tranport in Silay City. Horse-drawn carriages.

While going to a remote area in Isabela, I asked the farmers if I could hitch a ride.
